Characteristics

5454 is a non-heat-treatable alloy with strengths between 5052 and 5083. Formability and corrosion resistance are good and the alloy has better stress corrosion resistance than 5083 at elevated temperatures.

Typical Applications

5454 is used in storage tanks and pressure vessels for sustained elevated temperature service, and road tankers.
