Wilkinson Steel and Metals
joined the Partners in Industry Reduction Program through the Manufacturers’
Health and Safety Association. After becoming a member, Wilkinson
Steel and Metals obtained a Certificate of Recognition in Health
and Safety in 2002. This includes our Edmonton, Calgary and Fort
McMurrey branches. This commitment has assisted us growing our Health
and Safety Management System along with our own employee commitment
to a Safe and Healthy Workplace.
Wilkinson Steel and Metals maintains a company wide Health and Safety
program based on the COR program including regular Safety Audits
and inspections in all of our facilities. We are actively pursuing
the development of similar certification programs with the Workers
Compensation Boards of British Columbia and Saskatchewan. |
