General Information

All 10 branches of Wilkinson Steel and Metals are ISO 9001:2000 certified by the CanadianGeneral Standards Board (CGSB).

Internal Quality Audits are completed in all branches on a annual basis to ensure the accurate and ongoing implementation of the Quality Assurance program as well as facilitate continuous improvement in all areas of operation. The CGSB also conducts yearly external audits as part of the formal ISO registration requirements.

Program Details / Current Activities

   
Customer Satisfaction is the primary objective of the Quality Assurance Program at Wilkinson Steel and Metals. This objective is met through identifying individual customer needs and facilitating the communication of these needs throughout the entire organization.

One of the major tools used for Quality Assuranceand Continuous Improvement is our Internal Non-conformance Reporting System.

All 10 branches are directly linked through our Metaltraq system. When a Non-conformance Report is filed, it is entered in to Metaltraq, company management is notified electronically and an investigation/root cause analysis is initiated.
