    Position Title: Outside Sales Representative, Non Ferrous
    Location: Vancouver, B.C.
    Reports to: Non Ferrous Sales Manager

    Duties/Responsibilities:

    • Makes regular personal calls on new and established accounts to create new business and to increase the Company’s penetration in existing accounts in order to maximize sales at an acceptable gross profit level;
    • Personally introduces the Company and all our products and services. Develops and maintains beneficial positive relationships between the Company and the customers and potential customers;
    • Uses the Value Consulting Process as defined in WSDS training to determine how Wilkinson can add value to the customer and in return create a business opportunity for Wilkinson;
    • Maintains a detailed knowledge of all accounts and potential accounts and keeps detailed records, which include the nature of the business and the products used;
    • Seeks to meet or exceed all personal scorecard targets. Eg. Gross margin%, GMI, #Sales calls, # parts agreements and tonnage, #CSR’s, customers on OLS, processing calls and tonnage, new business, sales initiatives, ongoing training;
    • Maintains a current understanding and follows Company’s sales and credit policies and practices;
    • Remains abreast of any potential problems between the Company and the accounts in order to maintain good relationships. Keeps ISR’s informed regarding customer calls, pricing issues and any special customer needs. Keeps customer informed of price changes and any unusual material availability/shortage or any Company change that could affect the customer’s dealings with Wilkinson;
    • Develops and maintains a strong knowledge of all company products and services;
    • Advises Sales Manager on all matters of competition, selling issues, customer relations, inventory levels, scheduling problems or other areas that could affect the operation and creates action plans to combat competitors activities;
    • Produces information on each account for annual forecasting purposes, purchasing requirements, or other required market analysis;
    • Other duties as required/assigned;

    Qualifications:  

    • Proven track record in sales & marketing, customer interfacing, and goal achievement.
    • Strong communication, negotiation, interpersonal and time management skills.
    • An ability to quickly learn product knowledge and market applications, pricing, inventory and general purchasing procedures.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft computer applications is essential.
    • Willingness to travel to various locations and customers as required.
